My name is Jessie Jern, owner and founder of Simläran. I was trained as a swimming instructor through the Swedish Lifesaving Society (SLS) in 2012. I am also a certified kayak instructor and have always had a great interest in the sea, training, lifesaving and swimming. I have a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a master's degree in Global Studies from the University of Gothenburg and a master's degree in War Studies from the University of Glasgow. Since 2020, I have been running Simläran and working with a norm-critical pedagogy with the ambition to contribute to a more equal swimming education for everyone.​
